Packing for Detox
Most people will be in our detox center anywhere from five days to a few weeks, so you want to make sure you have at least a few different outfits to choose from. Detoxing can come with some undesirable physical symptoms, so bring comfortable clothing.
- T-shirts and long-sleeve shirts
- Sweatpants or yoga pants
- Gym shorts
- Jeans
- Comfortable sneakers
Please do not bring shirts that have pictures of alcohol or drugs on them, as this can trigger patients. We offer laundry services at our detox, so you don’t have to over-pack.
If needed, you should bring money with you to purchase nicotine products or prescription co-pays. We will keep your money in your file or personal locker while in our program so that you do not have to concern yourself with purchasing items or medication, we take care of everything for you. If you typically do not carry cash, you can bring your credit or debit card with you and we will add it to your file. If you forget, a loved one can always place some type of payment on file for you.
You’ll need your insurance card and government-issued ID, this just makes the intake process a bit easier. Please also bring any medicines your doctor prescribed to you that you take on a regular basis. We don’t want you to go without these important medications for any period of time. Of course, leave any hazardous items, narcotic drugs of any kind, and alcohol at home. If these items are brought in they will be confiscated and disposed of.
